Teachers Day Celebration

Though we all know that 5th September is celebrated as the National Teacher's Day throughout our country because it is the birthday of a timeless teacher and the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Very few would know another basic reason behind the chosen date. When some of the students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said," instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if September 5th is celebrated as Teacher's Day. Teachers are the beacons of light, guiding a learner in the formative years of his/her life. To imbibe its true values, we allow the students to enact as Teachers. The students offer flowers, greeting cards and Gifts as a Token of affection to the teachers.

Diwali Celebration

Deepawali is celebrated in our institute with fun and frolic; however the celebration is blended with the age old tradition of the Ramayana i.e. to commemorate the return of Ram, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu from his 14 year exile with Sita and Lakshman after killing the "Ravan, a demon King. The preparation starts in advance. Students decorate their respective classrooms with their own creations and also in their own styles.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility (CSR), is defined as the ethical behaviour of a company or Business Establishment towards the society. CSR has become increasingly prominent in the Indian corporate scenario because organizations have realized that besides growing their businesses it is also vital to build trustworthy and sustainable relationships with the community at large. Though India is one of the fastest growing economies, socioeconomic problems like poverty, illiteracy, lack of healthcare etc. are still ubiquitious and the government has limited resources to tackle these challenges. This scenario has opened up several areas for businesses to contribute towards social development. CSR is not a new concept in India. To inculcate a similar sense of responsibility towards the society, our Faculties allocate topics relating to "Social issues” to the students and further assist them in completing the tasks. We further evaluate the work done by the students and workout strategies to make the students more responsible towards the Society.
